Raffi Amit

Raffi Amit is the Robert B. Goergen Professor of Entrepreneurship and a Professor of Management at the Wharton School. He founded and leads the Wharton Global Family Alliance (WGFA), a unique academic-family business partnership. He has served as the Academic Director of Wharton Entrepreneurship which encompasses all of Wharton’s entrepreneurial programs between 1999 and 2015. He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Economics, and received his Ph.D. in Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. His current research and teaching interests center on the design and implementation of innovative business models, venture capital investments, and on family business management, governance and finance. Professor Raffi Amit has published widely cited, award winning research on a broad range of issues that relate to entrepreneurship and venture capital, and on ownership, management and control of family businesses. He is frequently quoted in a broad range of practitioner outlets.
